    Hi! My dear imentor how are you? The time was change, is it good?

     I think I will graduate in June 2010. If I can graduate, I will go to the collage, because I want to find a good job for myself in the future. Does my school have majors?   Honestly: I not really know, because I am not really known major means which. I think I am very bad; I just have a little information about my school; but many classmate not sure what major means, too. Before this term, I think my GPA is OK, is more than 80; but this term I feel I have many subjects do not understand. So, I think my rank is in the middle of the class. This term’s first marking period GPA is very, very bad; just have 67.When I get the report card, I want to cry and I don’t want to study more. When I am form U.S. I never got the award. In China, I have been got it; it was about good student, that means go to school on time, not do the bad thing, listen to the teacher all the time; another was teacher’s helper, I think this one you will not understand, because in U.S. do not have this one. The other was about rank, in the class, I have been got 3 and 4, but that was not in the best school. In China, I was involved any kind of activity, but in U.S. I usually not, just a few time.  Like: some dance, sport, some kinds parade…Now, I have not taken SAT and PSAT, yet.  I will take SAT on this Saturday, but I do not understand many words, I just try my best. From now, I have been taken: glob history, math A, living enliven, earth science and Chinese, almost was pass, just history has 55, so I need to take it again. That is so bad, but I don’t know why I can’t understand and remember the history, I don’t know how I can study at this. I participate in after school; that is: gym, reading, art, yoga, health… Some are not this term, was before. Yes, I have part job, now. And in China, I have been work in the company for 40 days in the summer. I felt my work experiences is work hard, do any thing what your leader tell you, in the free time, to find  something to do, do not stand over there…

     I am not really known which my biggest strength in my student profile was, because I feel my student profile is not good, not bad. I think my biggest weakness in my student profile is history, because I can’t remember and not interesting that. If I could change one aspect of my student profile, I would change my memory, because my memory is very bad, sometimes the teacher just say something, I will forget too. I must take note when they say. This is my student profile.

My   Community    Profile

       Hi! Time passed so fast, winter is coming; the weather is colder than before. You must take care of yourself. Last Wednesday, we met in my school. Did have a good time? How did you feel?  When we were chatting, I thought you feel boring, because I didn’t understand what you say. That made you feel boring. I felt so disgraced in that day about my responsibility.

       Between China and N.Y.C, I like Chinese neighborhood, because I feel Chinese neighborhood is more friendly, kind and easier to talk to each other. So, I not know my neighborhood’s name. This city is in Brooklyn, New York. When I from New York in April, 2007, I live here. I live here, because my uncle helps us to find here. I think I live here for long time, total I have been living here for 2 and half years. I think my neighborhood is from my country. Some people are black, some are white, and other is like me—yellow people… Furthermore, they have different custom. For instance: some U.S day the yellow people would not enjoin and yellow people would enjoin theirs special day. The white people would have the U.S. flag hang out of the window, but some yellow people never do that. Near my neighborhood, I can find laundry, store, 99 cents store and restaurant. Except laundry, I feel all these stores are the white and black people or Mexicans people’s store. I remember one time, I bought something there, I spoke English to the boss, but she did not all understand what I say.

       My house is in 4AV, Brooklyn, New York. This is one house of the apartment we rent. I live with my grandmother, mother and two old brothers. In day time, everybody would go out with our work or study, except my grandmother. In night time everybody would stay the hall do something what our want to do. It is very happy. If you want to ask me which place is my favorite, I do not really know, but I think I would like the park, because the park has fresh air, big place to play any for sport. For example: last time, I played badminton, run with my worker in the morning, which can help us to be a heath people and to be not a fatty girl. And in this park many people do exercise to keep fit there, also the old people, when I saw them be heath, I would smile. I think myself will be different from a typical teenager in my neighborhood, because I feel my neighborhood are so boring, no meaning. Just go to work, then sleep…When I am living on my own, I will not living in my neighborhood, I would move to some neighborhood like my Chinese neighborhood, because my Chinese neighborhood likes to plant some flower at free time. I like, too…

       Who am I? I feel that is confusing me, because I think I have many sides of myself. In different situation, I have different sides.

       In my hometown’s eye, I am a hardworking girl, because I help my mother do everything for everything. If I have holidays, I also stay at home to help my family member do something. Sometimes they said to my mother, I am a stubborn and filial piety girl, because they felt I just listen to my mother and father. If they call me to go out of our village, my mother disagree that, then I would not go. Ha, Ha! Would you want to know about me in my friend’s heart? They told me I am an emotional and optimistic girl, because they said, I am an easy go, easy come girl. That means I am easy to cry and easy to smile. I don’t know why. For instance: in my work place, a man gave me $10, but he said give me $100. Finally, he realized and said I am wrong, I sorry about that. When he said that, I cry in the washroom. When I came out, my worker asked me, what happen outside? Then I smile.

I think I am a noisy, noisy girl. I would talk, talk, talk; everybody will hear my sound all day. Like a bird: “ Zi, Zi, Zha, Zha.” On the hand, I am an extrovert girl, because I not only chat with everybody, but also chat with people when I met in the first day. Therefore, I am a pure girl, because I am easy to believe all the people. Like: in some store, if seller sell something to me, I always to buy then. I feel I am a self abased girl, because I can’t believe myself. In the big party, I just sit over there; I have no power to say anything. Finally, I feel I am a lively girl, because in the day, I could not quite and still at the same place. I like play any games…

 So, I feel I have many sides person. You feel, too!

       I felt so exciting to meet you this Wednesday. How did you feel? Were you felt well! Was I made you have a good time? OH! I thought I made you fell boring, because my presentation and respond was so bad. I think I would study hard …

       My hometown was in GuangDong, China. That was a village and the building was a house. My house was made of cement and bricks. I like this kind of house, because this house made me fell safer. We had six people live in this house. We were my mom, father, grandmother, two old brothers and me. I felt my was so close, noise, big and simple…I was share anything with my family. In my house, I like my room, because my room was the new one and the biggest one. I can do anything what I want to do in my room. Like: how I like to deice my room put some picture in the wall that I like. I was not something in the hall, because the wall’s paint was white and many people will come to our home, which will make them see something unhappy. I remember one time, that was 10 years old. I mom usually told us do not make the wall dirty or put the baby thing on the wall. I played with my friend in the house, not carefully to put the foot shadow on the wall. When my mom reach home saw that she hit me and said: why are you done this, you forget what I say to you before. I was not really like to stay at home, because I felt I want to know more about the world and want to go out get much money for my life. In my hometown, my favorite season was spring. I liked spring, because in this season I can see many green plants and can has fresh air. It was very health for each person. I can plant some flower out of the door with my friend and neighbors. If I close my eye stood outside of door.

                  Where I am from sounds like bus, drum, bird, dog and chicken…

                  Where I am from tastes like chocolate, lemon,

                  Where I am from looks like city,

                  Where I am from smells like fragrance of a flower,

                   Where I am from feels like warm, close, happy, relaxed and freedom…

     So, I like my hometown very much. My hometown was a greenbelt place, right! After you read this, you feel you will be interesting my hometown.

I am Li FengMing, 20 yeas old. How are you? Nice to meet you! I am the new immigrant from to NYC. So make me have a new life. I am very happy with you share my life.

I came from here 2 years, now I felt I brave than before, in China. I bet you didn’t know fact about me. I am very afraid all kinds of mice. And I never tell that to my any new friends, expect you. Common saying in Chinese:” mouse cross the street, everyone tell: hit it.” That mean it the mouse hear people’s sound, they have no power to come out. But every night, when I walk out I will be suspicious, that scare of myself now, I came from U.S. when I saw mouse in the subway, I didn’t feel I scare at that. After the U.S of two years life. I feel I have more power to do many thing I can’t do in China, but also have many I can’t do. Like sometime in the big party, I will feel so scare, then I can not come out to say anything so I want to learn many kinds knowladges from you.

      有人说:“文学作品通过人物描写来揭露人性的伪善”我赞成这句话,我对这句话的理解是:文学作品通过描写人物常常来揭露人与人之间的伪善和虚伪.我赞成这句话. 下面我用毛姆的《午餐》与莫泊桑的《羊指球》来说明我的观点.

       在毛姆的《午餐》通过描写硬充好汉的“我”与那位“忠实”女读者共进午餐的事，作者揭示了人们虚伪的一面。在文章当中,“只吃一样” 复述了那个女读者所说过的话。她口口声声说，她只吃一样东西。但她却吃了好几道昂贵的菜。她不断地使用婉转的表达方式来达到她的目的。她好像抓住了“我”硬充好汉的缺点，用她那“健谈”的嘴巴驱使“我”为她点完一道又一道的菜。还一直说人家吃腻的，不可吃多。这里突出“我”与那位女读者虚伪的一面。也从中看出了“我”与那位女读者人性的伪善.

       在莫泊桑的《羊指球》中, 作者通过写贵族们对洋脂球的虚伪来反映当时社会上层阶级人物与下层阶级人物之间的疏远关系. 那些贵族们在洋脂球有利用价值的时候才”尊重”她. 可见, 当时社会上层阶级人物是多么的虚伪与伪善, 而他们的虚伪导致了他们与下层阶级人物之间疏远的关系. 另外, 作者通过写贵族们的自私来反映当时社会人与人之间的关系是”你死我活”的. 贵族们为了脱离困境, 想尽千方百计劝洋脂球出卖自己的肉体. 可见, 贵族们是多么的自私, 而他们的自私反映了当时社会人与人之间”你死我活”的关系. 从中看出了贵族们人性的伪善. 

       通过以上的例子, 我们可知,文学作品都是在揭露人性的伪善与虚伪的一面.它通过《午餐》描写“我”请“我”的一位“忠实”女读者吃午餐的事，作者讽刺了人们的虚伪与伪善，同时也使我们领悟到：虚伪与伪善是没什么好结果的。“我”的虚伪与伪善使“我”失去了整整一个月的生活费用，而女读者的虚伪与伪善引起了“我”对她的厌恶。与通过《羊指球》描写那些贵族们在洋脂球有利用价值的时候才”尊重”她. 可见, 当时社会上层阶级人物是多么的虚伪与伪善.  因此,我赞成这句话:文学作品通过人物描写来揭露人性的伪善.

有人说：“在任何时候我们都能看到人性的闪烁，”我赞成这句话。这句话的解释：每个人，无论在什么时候，我们都可看到那人的善良，人闪烁的一面。下我使用马克.吐温的《哈克贝利.费恩历险记》和在莫泊桑的<<洋脂球>>这2部作品来证明。

在马克吐温的《哈克贝利，费恩险记》中：哈克在关键的时刻，他不顾自己而去帮助别人，从中体现了他人性的善良一面。哈克因逃脱他父亲，来到一个小岛上，在这岛他认识了一个想逃跑的黑奴，洁姆。因为他们两都是想逃跑，后来他们因逃跑结下了深厚的友谊。哈克觉得心情不平静，因为他在帮一个黑奴逃跑，他想告他，但最终没有，还巧妙掩护了洁姆。我们从这事中，看出哈克的人性如何，到了这种情况，他还是帮黑奴.从这生活中可以表现哈利人性善良，心地良好的一面。  

在莫泊桑的《羊脂球》中：羊脂球她在人们说她坏话，而且说得特别难听的情况下，她都把只足够自己吃的食物分给那些人吃，从中体现了她心理闪烁，有良心的人。羊脂球是一个当时时代的一个妓女,她与那些有钱人以及高阶级的确几对夫妇一起同车,而那些妇女得知羊脂球的身份后,当着人家面说人家不干净,坏话,但到了吃饭的时候,个个都没食物吃,只有羊脂球有,她看到这,她却把所有的食物拿出来与大家分享,而且这些食物是羊脂球这几天的粮食, 而羊脂球当时的处境也不是好,她却不与她们计较.从此体现出羊脂球是个人性格单纯,有善心的人才.这体现出人无论在何时都有善良的一边.

 综上所述:以上的2部作品都明确的体现了人无论何时何地都有人性善良,有美好的良心,都可看到,都可显现出来.因此我赞成这句话：“在任何时候我们都能看到人性的闪烁.”

—因为那女人叫他一起出来吃饭,他因觉得不好意思不去,而他明是很穷的，脸还被打肿了,当胖子，这反映了作者在当时有一种“虚伪,谦虚”的心态.
